Cold weather puts extra load on a trailer brake system, seals and battery. Before the season turns, it is worth running through a short checklist.
Start With the Brakes
Check electric brake adjustment and look for uneven wear across the shoes. A trailer that pulls to one side under braking usually points to an adjustment issue rather than a hardware failure.
Seals and Ventilation
Inspect door and window seals for hardening, and clear the ventilation paths so condensation has somewhere to go. Small steps here prevent bigger problems later.
